”Direct quotes from men during or after sex hand embroidered on a series of undergarments. These pieces are the culmination of multiple women’s early sexual experiences. The stark red thread against the white fabric alludes to the concept of virginity: the worth of a woman who keeps it and the power men find in “taking” it. ‘From The Bedroom Floor’ aims to highlight a subconscious contempt for women poorly disguised as flattery.”
