Sequencing the photo book from Fall 2019
Developed Images is most importantly a photography community at Emerson College that provides students from all majors a creative and safe space to work together to make a photography publication each semester. Until about four or five years ago, we used to solely be an analog photography publication centered only around the publication. We have expanded our guidelines and now are much more than that . We accept any type of photography that you could possibly think of: Analog, digital, iPhone/Android, etc. As a group, we decide on a theme for our publication, then invite any and everyone to submit work that falls in line with the theme. We then go through the submissions togehter, picking the ones we think work best with the theme, and then sequence the images into our publication.
Photography is art, a community, and for some their pride and joy, and we just want to be the bridge that ties it all together.
This website is a culmination of a lot of years of wanting an online platform for our Emerson Organization. Originally, we planned to use our website as another platform to keep in contact with current members and interested alumni, provide updates on the photo community, and create another platform for discussing our individual projects.
Now this platform is going to be much more than that. We are going to be bridging the gap between interested alumni, students across the US and beyond, and current DI members. We want to provide a way to stay connected during a time when social distancing and online communication have taken the place of group meetings and in-person photography exhibitions.
This new website will be used to showcase DI’s current projects, our past publications, current Emerson photography students’ projects, and the work of Emerson Alumni. Not only will this website serve as an online gallery for the Emerson photo community, but it will also be a place to update each other on any online events that will be happening in the near future!

Since COVID is on the minds of those across the US, and on the minds of returning college students, we believed that we needed a way to connect the photography community that originated at Emerson College, alumni, and current students through work and projects of said community.
