This was taken the day my roommate moved out after Emerson sent us home in March 2020. I was leaving the next day, the room was completely boxed up except for this. We cried together for the first time that day, and when they left the room for the second to last time, I took this photo. It felt like a final moment that was necessary to capture.

This was taken on a hike with my little brother. It was a spot near my home that we had visited often but we never saw the aging furniture. I love the idea of nature taking over man-made objects, and it makes me consider how the furniture even got here. I often think about how many people found this spot before us, how many will find it after we did, and where they all are now.
